A new year...

Well... Back to school and work the vacation is over. It looks like it is going to be a busy year for Spencer and I. He is taking to difficult Science classes and I am also taking a full load. Somewhere in all the chaos of studying and work we need to find time to spend with each other. We will make it though... So is life! :)

We do have some exciting news... Brandon my brother, aka Elder Benson entered the MTC in Provo on January 4th. He will be serving in the Nicaragua Managua South Mission. What a day... I thought I was doing well until we pulled up to the MTC and it hit me that I wouldn't see that stud muffin for 2 years and a totally lost it. Sending a sibling off on a mission was totally different then sending Spencer. For the first couple days I was really worried about Brandon. I think I dear elder'ed him everyday for a week. I was worried he would be lonely or homesick and all that jazz, knowing well that he wasn't but for what ever reason the older protective sister came out in me and I had a hard time at first. My pour Mom struggled for a while too. We would take a count of how many times we would break down in a day, but my Mother is a rockstar and is doing much better! But Brandon is doing great! He is loving his district and the whole MTC experience. He has been made a DL(which for all of you that know Brandon- I am sure he is eating it up) down there and I really think he likes the fact that he gets to go and get the mail everyday. The perks haha.... He also has said he has learned more Spanish in his first week of the MTC then he ever did in High School- go figure. But he is so amazing! I am so proud of this kid and I know he will be an amazing missionary!!!

Before we dropped "B" off at the MTC we took a quick pit stop and one of the Benson family's favorite restaurants, Morella's! This was Brandon's request for his last supper...

And the journey begins....
